Americans for Safe Access Foundation (ASA) created the Patient Focused Certification (PFC) online training program to provide easy access to the training that our experienced staff have used to train thousands of patients, regulators and medical cannabis industry professionals over the last decade. Our training has been created by recognized world experts and includes tools that regulators, industry leaders, and their staff can use to prepares individuals to understand state and local regulations and to learn required safety and operational protocols. PFC on-demand training also offers classes focused on the basics of cannabis as medicine and common therapeutic uses of cannabis. Since 2002, ASA has trained over 1,000,000 people in the country and has distributed even more education materials. ASA’s PFC on-demand courses are offered as live recordings of our training events. These online videos are updated regulatory as our training adapts to a changing regulatory landscape. We offer a range of certifications in different disciplines (cultivation, laboratory, distribution, manufacturing) intended for a variety of levels, such as entry level staff, management, and regulatory work. This package contains enrollment in the Core Cannabis Training (CCT), plus the National Cannabis Standards Training (NCST) in the area of DISTRIBUTION | CULTIVATION | MANUFACTURING | LABORATORY Operations. CCT provides the foundation of all PFC educational programs and is the prerequisite for any additional trainings. The CCT program is taught in sections, providing a well-rounded understanding of the history of medical cannabis laws, cannabis as medicine, cannabis science and research, and running a safe cannabis business. NCST is designed to educate industry professionals about the particulars of compliance specific to the AHP Cannabis monograph and AHPA guidelines. The NCSTs are available in four (4) cannabis industry disciplines including cultivation and processing; manufacturing, packaging, labeling and holding; distribution; and laboratory analysis.
